Gabe & Josie’s St. Augustine Engagement Photos
Some sessions feel extra special, and Gabe and Josie’s engagement photos were exactly that. We spent a Friday afternoon exploring St. Augustine, capturing their love story in the most fitting way possible; through their shared appreciation for craft beer, laughter, and quality time together.
Our session spanned three of cute local breweries, each stop offering its own unique atmosphere and aesthetic. We started at Bog Brewing, where the colorful mural outside made for a bold backdrop and the rustic interior created a cozy, intimate vibe. Between the exposed brick walls and warm wood tables, we captured relaxed portraits that felt perfectly like them. One of the most memorable touches was the deck of playing cards they brought along. Gabe and Josie love to spend their weekends playing together, so we incorporated their card games at each location. It added such personality and resulted in some genuine, candid smiles that truly captured their connection.
Our next stop was Old Coast Ales, where we took advantage of the inviting outdoor patio and the lush tropical greenery surrounding it. The palm leaves and bright natural light created that classic “Florida feel” that tied beautifully into their laid-back personalities.
We wrapped up the session at Dog Rose Brewing, where the owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Despite the crowd, they kindly allowed us full access to the space, including the brewing area itself. There, surrounded by gleaming silver vats, we captured some of the most memorable images of the day.
As someone who has known Gabe for a few years, this shoot meant even more. Being able to document such an important chapter in his and Josie’s life was a genuine honor. Their warmth, laughter, and natural chemistry made every moment behind the lens a joy.
